Heeley City Farm started in 1981 and is one of the oldest community led sustainable projects in Sheffield. The farm is a popular visitor attraction with farm animals, organic gardens, café, garden centre and farm shop. The project buildings are powered by wind and solar power.

Heeley City Farm provides youth and adult training courses, adult education and work experience activities, volunteering opportunities, day care for adults with learning difficulties, play programmes for younger children, out of school playschemes for school children and many more public activities. 

The project is recognised as a pioneer in many community development and environmental areas – environmental education, recycling, community composting, energy generation and conservation, organic and local food production, health and healthy eating and Community Enterprise.

Opening times : Monday - Sunday 9:30am - 5:00pm (4:30pm in winter) and admission is FREE.
