An urban safari of green and living roofs in Sheffield presented by Dr Jeff Somill. Green roofs are one the most easily accessible sustainable technology available. Their positive impact on water management and wildlife in UK urban centres is rapidly becoming more important. Sheffield has the largest number of green and living roofs in the UK, outside London, and this tour aimed at sixth-formers and members of the public will provide an informative and interactive experience of the social science behind them.
